Karl Mullen Hypnotherapy
About Me
Hi, I'm Karl Mullen, GQHP registered with the GHSC (General Hypnotherapy Standards Council) and GHR (General Hypnotherapy Register)
I trained and qualified in 2009 as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and practiced in Birmingham for a few years successfully working with Weight, Smoking and Phobias.
As a parent to two young boys I took the decision to stop practicing to give my full attention and support to my family growing up through the early years of life.
During this period I always maintained my interest in Hypnotherapy and NLP and now my boys are older I feel that the time is right to begin my practice again and work with individuals to realise the positivity and potential in the their lives in order for them to achieve.

I am qualified in the following areas:
General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice GQHP
Hypnotic Therapeutic Intervention as a Clinical Hypnotherapist
Diploma in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing)
Master Hypnotist Diploma

What is hypnosis
Hypnosis is a state of mind, enhanced by (although not exclusively) mental and physical relaxation, in which our subconscious is able to communicate with our conscious mind.
It may be better to define ‘hypnosis’ by what it does rather than what it is and in this regard it is widely accepted as a most excellent method by which we may access our inner potential.

What is hypnosis like?
Hypnosis is a wonderful deep state of relaxtion where the whole mind and body can relax. Time in Hypnosis can often become irrelavent and hard to track.
However when you are hypnotised you remain in complete control and despite what you may have seen on television, I cannot make you bark like a dog, or walk like a chicken!
You cannot get stuck in hypnosis and your conscious self can bring you out at any time.
